Our Mission
In Sifa we are dedicated to equipping the saints for ministry through discipleship, fellowship, and service—building a community that reflects Christ’s love and truth.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of denomination. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Statement of Faith
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism as a necessary step for all believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. "This water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 3:21
Communion
We regularly partake in communion, as the Scriptures instruct. "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, 'This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.' For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes." 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
The vibrant praising and worship team, composed of both youth and adults, serves as a testament to the power of music and community in spiritual expression. Each member brings their unique talents and experiences, creating a harmonious blend that resonates deeply with congregants. The youth infuse energy and passion, while the adults provide wisdom and depth, striking a perfect balance that enhances the worship experience. Together, they lead the congregation in powerful songs that uplift the spirit and inspire faith. Their commitment to rehearsing diligently and supporting one another fosters an atmosphere of unity and devotion. Through their performances, they not only glorify their faith but also encourage others to engage in worship, making it a truly inclusive experience that touches hearts of all ages.
